I don’t understand what you’re asking. Was it a scam to include the reference to the pastor’s Ted talk or the deacon’s article because they did not detail which Bible references they used to inform their change of heart?
I think it should be obvious they really thought about the most basic ones, like
[1] Judge not, that ye be not judged. [2] For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. [3] And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
and:
“The Gospel According to John”, chapter 8, verses 3–7
³And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
⁴They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
⁵Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
⁶This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
⁷So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
and the most important one:
The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ' There is no other commandment greater than these.”
I notice your articles deal primarily with gay issues and the church…and that your signature line says: The teaching is: “Love one another.” Were you looking specifically for references that support the existence and acceptance of transgender people beyond these? I admit I would love to find some myself, but my culture had already given me a background to love and accept my LGBTQ+ fellow humans. Although it shames me to remember it took awhile for my culture to overcome the prejudices instilled in me by American culture.
